students of every age who are looking for information about going to college. Although it was
written with students in mind, parents of college-bound students will find this information
helpful, too. Explores planning before college, during college, & after college.
College Board Online
A comprehensive college preparation service. Click on College QuickFinder about the college of
your choice & check the Admissions Requirements. Click on the tab "For Students" & you will
find everything you need to know: how to plan for college, how to find a college, apply online,
guidelines to writing your college essay, & most importantly, how to pay for college. There is a
similar tab "For Parents."

An award-winning site that allows you to research colleges & scholarships, take virtual tours of
campuses & apply online to more than 200 colleges & universities. You can search by region,
sport, majors, tuitions, etc. Without giving away your email address or identifying yourself in any
way, you can enter profile information that allows CollegeNet to sift through thousands of
colleges & find schools well matched to you.
Campus Explorer
New college search engine which aims to help students determine which college is the best
match for them. Students enter information such as their SAT or ACT scores & GPA, & the site
determines which schools they are eligible for. The site then matches students with specific
schools on this list, based on the preferences they indicate on topics such as distance from
home, academic interests, & their financial situation. The site lists both 2 & 4-year institutions,
as well as trade schools & career education options, with more than 6,000 schools included in
its database.
